In the first half of December, Xbox Game Pass will add eleven new games, including three day-one releases. The highlight here is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which allows you relive all nine episodes in the legendary namesake series, in a funny form that delivers a multitude of planets to explore and immersive fighting mechanisms. You can choose the beginning of any trilogy and launch into the game on December 5, across PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. As for the greatest day-one release, we’ve got High on Life, a biopunk shooter from the comically imaginative mind of Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty), which armed you with a set of charismatic, talking weaponry and sends you on a world-saving mission. The game launches on cloud, console, and PC on December 12.
Hello Neighbor 2 is another day-one release on Game Pass, which sends you back to Raven Brooks as an investigative journalist, to prowl about and unearth your scary neighbour’s secrets. The clever AI here learns from your investigating behaviors and adapts accordingly, to produce an imposing affair in the nights to follow. Hello Neighbor 2 premieres December 5 on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Chained Echoes offers a substantial helping of 16-bit-style gaming as you traverse the war-torn realms of Valandis, armed with swords or magic spells, and annihilate terrible adversaries – across dungeons, exotic archipelagos, and wind-blasted plateaus. It debuts on cloud, console, and PC on December 8 as a day-one release.
On the same day, Metal: Hellsinger, a rhythm-based, Doom-like first-person shooter filled with devilish foes, extremely powerful weaponry, and heavy metal music, would be released. The game has been available across all major platforms for a time now, and finally travels over to Xbox One. Then there’s Hot Wheels Unleashed, an arcade simulation where you can collect vehicles, construct breathtaking tracks, and unleash your toy cars to race online with others. The game has a split-screen mode for two players and will be released on December 15.
Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which is now playable on Xbox, concludes Clementine’s tear-jerking, zombie-killing journey. Another ready-to-play title is Eastward, a cute, pixelated adventure in which the player travels through a society on the verge of collapse, encountering charming places, weird creatures, and defeating enemies with a frying pan.
In Totally Reliable Delivery Service, you can assume the role of a clumsy, ragdoll delivery agent and work with up to three others to complete missions in a dynamic sandbox universe. In Potion Craft, you physically interact with equipment and organic ingredients to make potions, develop formulas, attract clients, and experiment to your heart’s content.
Lastly, we have Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan, a 2.5D puzzle platformer whose set pieces are inspired by Super Mario Odyssey, and which tasks the player with rescuing amusing creatures and restoring color to the planet.
